I began knitting socks in 1984 on my first knitting machine. I never liked having a seam in my socks and eventually quit making them. Now that there are beautiful handknitting yarns available for knitting socks my interest has been renewed. I knew there had to be a way to knit a sock on the machine that could be completely seamless. So after much trial and error and years of "improving" my technique I now have a pattern I wish to share with you. It is written in step-by-step format so that even the inexperienced knitter can succeed.

This jacket is not oversized and should be worn over non-bulky garments. I am happy to share this pattern with you. Many of us have used the standard shapes and sizing in the DesignaKnit program with great success. Having worked through that, it is time now to add some personalized sizing touches to your designs. Proportion seems to be one of the biggest problems -- how long do I make my skirt and where should my sweater hit me. Without going into great detail and explanation as to what you are doing, I am providing some math calculations used in a step-by-step format that will get you to where you want to go without filling your brain with what you don't want to know.
